Sunday Mornings
What should I expect?
|
We strive to be a welcoming community - we are the people in and around Waterville!
Our time of worship has a casual but connected feeling. We praise God with traditional hymns and more contemporary songs. Our time is centered on God's Word and understanding how Jesus is active in our lives and community. You will probably find your time in worship spiritually comforting and challenging you to take the next step in faith! You should wear what feels comfortable! We tend to dress casually. Whether you like to wear jeans or suits or dresses you are free to do so - you won't be judged!
Your children are very welcome here! Children start in worship and go to Sunday School after the Children's Moment. However, your children are more than welcome to stay with you throughout the service. We have Sunday School for children through middle school. We do have a nursery next to the sanctuary. We also broadcast the service into the fellowship hall in case you'd like to take your child(ren) out of the sanctuary for a moment, but don't want to miss what is going on! Our messages are crafted around the Bible as the Word of God always pointing to Jesus Christ. Each message includes a PowerPoint-style presentation, sermon notes, and a weekly devotional based on the sermon, so there are plenty of ways to engage the message and apply it to your life throughout the week. We have a time to chat and get to know each other better with lunch! We are happy to provide a bunch of food, coffee, and desserts each Sunday. You are encouraged to join us! There is ample parking on the streets surrounding our building. Please park wherever you find a space. There are also four parking spaces designated for people with limited mobility. The main floor where the sanctuary, fellowship hall, office, nursery, and conference room are located is barrier-free. There are restrooms on the barrier-free main floor that are friendly to people with limited mobility but not fully wheelchair accessible. |
